WHERE to begin!? Johnny Hannah is one of my top favorite artists. What a gift to find info about him here today. Like a morning blast of juke box noise, even before my coffee? GREAT! I love how he just piles it on, and yet his work is always so fresh/direct/distinctive. His book about Jazz greats is one of the great book bargains of all time. It’s not only a fantastic book, but the cover unfolds to become a JH poster. Gasp-worthy. If there is anyone in your life who loves vinyl, or jazz, or cool hipster gear, or retro fun — buy up a pile of these books, as gifts. My favorite thing is when Mr. Hannah turns his attention to alphabets — so this new offering is a news flash.
To me, this gent is one of your national treasures. Thank you, GA!!!

Got a bit lost trying to find Vout-o-reenees – had trouble locating the crypt, as you do – but the exhibition and book are both amazing.
