I share my home with a 'Mr Pussy' called Ronnie, we have come to a truce. He sleeps nights in the kitchen, allows me my rest, then controls me for the rest of the day.
Endless saliva rubbing, loud bengal chatting - thinking all humans can translate meows and enjoy trips to put on every tap in the house, so he can quench his endless thirst (is he really thirsty?)
Totally loving and attentive to any visitor (as long as its human and recognises his need to be at the centre of all activities), he enchants all and Yes he rules this home!
Pretty sure he wouldn't approve of my secret enjoyment of the real Mr Pussy, thank God he can't read!

It has been a long day and I am not proud to say that before I read this excerpt from the Gentle Author's upcoming book about Mr. Pussy, I felt crabby and spent. As I read about the antics of this cat, I had to laugh, therefore changing my mood. I was also reminded of my own beloved dog, who pulled similar early morning stunts. Like the Gentle Author, I miss my four footed friend. Not only was this excerpt especially entertaining, but it makes me think that perhaps there is a common thread of behavior that runs through our companion animals.
