My dad was often in Pelliccis during the afternoon. He was a Prudential insurance agent & used to meet his colleagues in there. I can remember mum saying ‘you’ve been in that cafe again’ – just like it was yesterday.

What an amazing collection of etchings. Peta is exceptionally talented, but what a shock for her to return to the Still and Star to find it had closed. I hope we hear more to its fate.

Can anyone say what has happend to the Still and Star pub? Like Peta, I also went a few months ago and found it shut- only a short time after we were celebrating its reprieve.

Just wanted to let Peta know that Donovan’s is still producing its products in Childer Street, Deptford.

I remember the smells of spice in Shad Thames on my way to work.

I was fortunate enough to meet Rodney Archer and visit his garden just before he died.

The Wool Exchange, Spitalfields, and Wapping – Peta your work is so detailed and true, brings back special memories. Thank you.

A total bonanza! I have brewed another pot of coffee, and plan to really take my TIME looking at these in more detail. It is a tribute to this artist’s skill that she is equally proficient at close-up
granular details, plus sweeping cityscapes…..and everything in between, actually. The sheer
variety!? — the sturdy spoons, the wands of soft fabrics, the wonderfully-jumbled shops, the far-away skyline, etc. I tried mightily to pick a favorite. Impossible!
Not only technically descriptive, but over-flowing with intrigue. I wanted to know everything
about all of these people/places/things.
Fantastic!
