Without peers to share the experience, they are experienced in such a curious way. Alone in the back seat of a car, or separate in age from everyone else. Almost everything is only experienced inside your own head. External validity is impossible. My christmasses were nothing like yours and yet they were exactly the same. Validity in a sense.
