					<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m looking for any information or pictures of my late father, he arrived in tiger Bay as a merchant seaman from Somalia, he then had a handful of pubs and clubs, like the Dowlais, ship and pilot, the Adamson, casablanca and also had a place in the tower block in London Square, he passed in mid 90&#039;s leaving me a brother called Paul and a sister called Lisa who I believe is from Ely Cardiff, please let me know any information you may have, thanks, A.M .beavan]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[Thank you for these dignified, eloquent portraits.  Without them we wouldn’t know what amazing things these men and women have achieved.  Making a living for oneself doesn’t sound like a major accomplishment on the face of it, but considering the obstacles that they have overcome it speaks to each person’s strength and courage.  In light of today’s prejudicial politics, I think it’s important to realize that these people ARE Britain, (or America, or France, or...) just as much as citizens who were born here, and they make us stronger.]]></description>
