Lovely paintings. They remind me of Paul Nash, John Piper and Graham Sutherland but with a Roland Collins stamp. So painterly, and his drawing is amazing! Thanks so much for your amazing posts.

Now I have seen some of Roland’s work here I can understand why he had two sell out shows. He paints with a more modern approach and a vibrancy not seen on earlier artists work this week. Gone are the 1920-30s stiff days welcome in depth & colourful 1950s, with a timely more smartish art approach. His clever pic set ups or staging on some show a 3D effect, his clouds are very dubious (no Constable influence here) he did his own thing, good for you Mr Zing. It seems ‘all’ his best works shown are in private collections that’s ok as long as the public can get a peep, !why because some of these artists are national treasures. Poet John PS – I am sure we will get a humdinger for the last show, hopefully seen around the world with relish.
