Compared to some of our allotments ( Behind Walthamstow Town Hall ) these are very well-kept, which is not surprising, I suppose given the pressure there would be on any "slackers".
Nontheless, the varied picture of the alottmenteers themselves could easily be mirrored on our patch.
Well done, everyone & may you veg be tasty & bountiful!

P.S. I assume that the gardens are <a HREF="https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=76b87f23-72e1-4f87-ac88-ee1f939f91c7&cp=skjs5dgzw7kq&lvl=19&style=o&v=2&sV=2&form=S00027" rel="nofollow"> these </A> as seen from the air ....

Nice gardens for nice people that's the buzz word today !meaning an atmosphere of excitement and activity. The high risers and other garden people have a lovely green world to enjoy. Cable St team players and visitors enter and walk away with their batteries fully recharged lots of contentment here. In 2017 - its got bigger & better worth a visit to these community gardens. This blog was on a black & white day in 2003, b/w colour certainly made pics atmospheric not sure if they were shed people then. London Kew Gardens also have some 20-30 small gardens/allotments for student assessment, not generally known, worth a summer visit. Poet John

What a wonderful project! Compare the value of this, in terms of its contribution to human morale, health and quality of life, to the increasingly prevalent use of London land to throw up prestige business premises (usually under-let) or hyper-luxurious accommodation largely owned by absentee foreign-based investors. There should be widespread statutory provision for similar plots - and a Ministry of Allotments!
