The garden there was built by the community from the surrounding houses which were mainly squatted in the 80’s. The gardens are still there and spill out onto the pavements around the trees that were planted at the same time.
I know it isnt Easr London so not your manor, but I think you would like it. Come and have a look.

I grew up in NW London in the 50’s and 60’s and well remember there being bomb sites all over London. It took many years for the dereliction to be repaired. Then, as now, there was no money ha ha.
