More memories for me here too as my father and I were lucky enough to climb up into the cross on top of St Paul’s Cathedral many years ago now.

St Pauls Cathedral was on Jacks patch do read his account of that. Of course Jack and his fellow Londoners rebuilt a devastated city laid waste by continual bombing after the war, they are the real heroes in this blog. Fireman Jack would have been awarded in 1945 the Defence Medal for services rendered on the civilian front line. Super man super life penned by GA.
