I am going to visit the lane soon and will look out for this guy.

As a son of a market trader (Walthamstow 1960s to 1990s) I was never encouraged to go into the &quot;markets&quot; as my dad (who was right) always said that whilst he was getting a great living from the trade, it would not last......

I worked with my dad as a 25 year old on his fish stall in Walthamstow for the last time in September 1999 - the market trade simply wasn&#039;t there and it felt that profits year on year were being squeezed and yet costs were rising.  35 years of family trading history finished that day......sad but life moves on.....ironically my dad had a shop in Green Street (Queens Market) in the 1970s also...]]></description>
