The photos have played in my mind all morning, and each of them have a muffled soundtrack…….rumbling far-off truck traffic, a train whistle, bird song or pigeon’s coo, or a car door slamming nearby/out of sight.
I have always loved places that are crusty and decrepit — looking at these photos has helped me to begin to understand why.
