I looked at this remarkable array of photos a few hours ago (I begin my day here in the Hudson River Valley by visiting this blog -- and it is always an ideal beginning to the day) and I find that the images have VERY strong "staying power". The photos have played in my mind all morning, and each of them have a muffled soundtrack.......rumbling far-off truck traffic, a train whistle, bird song or pigeon's coo, or a car door slamming nearby/out of sight.
I have always loved places that are crusty and decrepit -- looking at these photos has helped me to begin to understand why.
