I grew up in Peckham and was always around Burgess park at this time. I remember the lake being built and the massive crater that was there for a while. On top of this I can see these were shot by Coin Obrien. I would just like to say back in probably 2003 I actually printed Collins book ‘A life in retrospect’. I loved his pictures so much and had so much interest printing in duo-tone that the experience shot me into semi pro photography. THANK YOU COLIN. You definitely have been my inspiration. Thomas

There was a great old derelict 18th cent church almost opposite the park we used to climb in and lark about, happy days !

They are not usually of “key moments” like the miners’ strike but everyday events . It is often difficult to remember the ordinary in the passing of time and his work helps us do this.
