My family had two businesses in the old spitalifields market - one called W Bruce faced on to Brushfield Street; the other called Bruce &#038; Ewart was in the inside of the market.

I used to work the stands for my father as a teenager - I am now approaching 50.   I have just moved back into the area by buying an apartment off Brick Lane.

Next time I am at my mother&#039;s house I will dig out all the slides and pictures of the market and am very happy to share if it would be of interest.
