A good set of black and white photo’s you can feel the weather in many shots, they are exactly as I remember Clerkenwell in that period.A well presented book and well bound ln book binding terms an excellent purchase.well done Colin O’Brien.

Was a great evening and lovely to see so many people there. Didn’t make the cut of the photos though, shame lol. Loving the book, a sheer delight.

You can tell Colin O’Brien is a clever man (on top of many other and more important reasons) by the fact the he’s using a simple Bic pen to sign copies of his book. So many others would have used luxury fountain pens, but he doesn’t need to show off anything.

It was a wonderful launch: congratulations again to Colin for a magnificent book – this is the definitive chronicle of London life – and to Friederike the designer and The Gentle Author. And I’ve only just realised that the bearded snapper is Bob Mazzer, maestro of the London Underground. Bravo!
