Sadly, I will soon be leaving the Rectory after 12 wonderful years as Rector here. I will carry with me so many wonderful memories of this remarkable tree: sharing tea with friends under its shade in the heat of the summer, sleeping in the hammock amidst its branches and listening to birdsong, watching my 3 legged cat do his best to stalk wildlife amidst its foliage, laughing at my kids attempting to pick the fruit, fully attired in bin bags to avoid the juice stain..... and immense gratitude to the tree for offering its bounty to us year after year. We will miss you!

I'm really enjoying the mulberry collection. Wonderful trees, sadly ignored these days as a good planting option for people's gardens, presumably due to the "mess". There's little more sensational than a perfectly ripe mulberry that holds together *just* long enough to make it from the tree to my mouth. :)
