My mum knows Kitty well. Her name is Kitty Murray, Kitty’s sister Pat lived next door to her for many years. Please give Kitty our love we have not seen her for many years. Mum said she looks really well.

Love these stories of local people – and neighbourliness. So valuable. Hope this write-up carries the influence it needs…

Let’s hope the New Era residents win their battle. There is a major issue of principle here that questions what sort of society we want – do we value people or do we allow social cleansing to allow big money to make profit regardless of the cost. I know which side I’m on. People like Kitty should not be under threat of eviction.

Another example of how property developers are destroying peoples lives by socially cleansing vast areas of London.
I remember visiting Barbara in her flat and met Kitty on the stairs. It was always a close community. A lovely account of her life and loves.

Such a good, interesting interview to introduce the petition. I do hope you are successful.
