For similar - check out the amazing photography of Martin Wilson. Mostly shot around London , what appear to be cut and paste or collages, are actually contact sheets - but with weeks of planning before the shoot takes place.

One wrong shot during the run, and the whole process has to start again...

...and yes the 'N' is so brilliant -- wonderfully distinctive and memorable -- that we get to see it upside down too! ...perhaps just to see which of us typo-graphically inclined 'Lifers' is really paying attention?? ...this is after all about seeing the world from every which angle, and from a new perspective sought not given.
Truly life-affirming in its typographic brilliance! ...delightfully well observed, and knowingly interpreted to such great affect

And who knew about Risographs (1980s Japanese, drum-thermal-plate duplicating technology that uses 'real ink' just like offset printing)

But now we do :-)

Thank you Amandine and Rute and Tower Block Books, and of course GA too!
