I must say I’ve never seen lilacs in bloom, till this post, but then they’re not grown in Queensland, Australia – at least not on the coast.

An Easter thought to you and your readers, which I just found in a book on inspirational peace: from Psalm 85:10 (so Jewish) “Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.”

Skulls, serpents, lettering, nature taking its course.
I am glad these spaces have been kept as oases of quiet and of memory.
So sorry that the graveyard surrounding the old Workhouse in Cleveland Street is threatened with obliteration by a horrible high rise block. Exasperated with the lack of respect for the dead poor in our culture – no stones, no concern!
