I recognised this block of flats in the photo immediately it's Oswell house on Prussom St.
In the mid 1980's my best friend from lived there. We were both at college at the London College of Printing in Elephant and Castle. We had a very happy uncomplicated time!
Wapping was not developed even then. We used to wander around the old abandoned warehouses. I loved Cinnamon Wharf warehouse, where you could smell the spices that had been housed and distributed from there. The old winching chains still dangling above the hatches clanking in the wind. So atmospheric at night, I loved it. Not the same now!
Thank-you for taking such great pictures!
