I am a friend of Marge son Mark, at one point we used to share a flat.
Marge was a real old school salt of the earth beautiful lady. Often she would pop in on her way home from school or just bring us dinners round, what would initially be a quick hello is everything ok turned into me n marge talking for hours about anything n everything! She really was full of wisdom.
You can see in the tribute to her how she effected everyone she met in a real positive way!Marge is missed by those who loved her but her legacy lives on! God bless Marge

I am so sorry to hear about Marge’s passing. I met her in September 1990, when I was a new teacher at Christ Church Primary School. She made me feel so welcome! She was so down-to-earth and generous with her time, her stories, and her laughter. I will always remember her as a happy person, always smiling, and always wanting to help everyone. R.I.P.

It brings a tear to my eye when I think of how much I wish I could just see Marge again, give her a hug, and tell her that it’s my birthday so she’d laugh and pop out a 20 pence coin like she did for each and everyone of us every single year. I miss giving her a helping hand during the break time shop we used to have and pile on cookie boxes, and I’ll never forget how she’d always give us a huge big wave and smile encouraging little me that we’ll see each other in school soon as I wasn’t allowed to follow along Marges line of children at the time

I was a student at Christchurch from 1974 to 1980 and loved the mere presence of Mrs Hewson. She knew me from the age of 5 to the age of 11. I am now 46 and still remember her fondly.
