We used to call it “the little old womens shop” and used to buy broken biscuits there. The street numbers would match up as Samuels fruit and veg numbered 50 was further up Old Montague Street towards Brick Lane. Two elderly women ran the shop and we somehow assumed they were sisters but maybe not.
