Dear GA

Don't have time to finish this comment but whilst I am on this page as it were... (want to get a reference for the warehouses, which were opposite the Palm Tree).

I am pretty sure that this is looking south along the Regent's Canal from the Roman Road bridge. Now Mile End Park to the left (Wennington Green behind Tony Hall) and new housing on the right.

I am particularly interested in this photograph for the width of the towpath. Now surfaced and narrower and not sufficient capacity to hold all users. The canal itself full on the towpath side with narrow and other boats that are again floating homes but travelling between temporary halts rather than delivering goods. (Not a judgement by me on the occupiers only on politicians who have allowed the housing crisis in south-east England to develop.)

Although I gather some are 'weekenders' who have discovered the area from Olympic coverage. Parents have the weekend out-of-London cottage, offspring do trendy east London.
