Lennie was a lovley man,he trainned the football team when i was there. He was a good friend to my dad Terry Turner, who also worked at the club for many years. I remember when the world cup final in 66 was on,my dad and i were helping Len, and the lovley annie decorate, i was painting the toilet and missed the goals. All others had downed tools long ago. I was 8.

I met Lenny when I took my cab in for a service and chatted to him about my life in Bethnal Green. It was a coincidence that I had been a member of the New Cambridge boys club, we reminisced and it came to light that he knew my uncle Martin(Marty) Markey who also has now sadly died. Lenny was a lovely man with many wonderful memories. He will be sadly missed.

a lovely ,lovely,man.he was friend of my brother ronnie (polly) he used to get tickets to all the Spurs games for all the boys,and me sometimes.i still go to spurs,iwondered if lennie does ?
we lived in Cleeves but were bombed outin 1944.i wonder is there anyone out there who knows the exact date this happend,as i was only 4 and at Virgina road school,

How strange – I think I might have seen Lennie on the 67 bus going towards Algate on Sunday just gone (9th Sept). I live in Stamford Hill myself and was going down to Brick Lane.
Was Lennie on the bus where a man was creating a fuss about the driver not having stopped for him?!
What an interesting man – he certainly doesn’t look his age.
