This is yet another beautiful tale of Mukthadir. His experiences are genuinely touching and so inspirational. I know Mukthadir personally and this is just one of his shared stories. I have consistently enjoyed his tales they are ones to definitely remember. Herb & Spice wouldn't be Herb & Spice if it wasn't for Mukthadir. I wish he shares more of his beautiful tales with us all.

I personally believe that this story is positive way of reminding people how life was. Abdul mukthadirs story would play a huge part in peoples life motivating them. Alot of useful history and past is also included which shows all readers what Spitalfield and this individuals life is all about. Reading this story, shows us what type of man Abdul mukthadir is being really loyal as well as passionate about what he has done and is still doing within his whole life. Lastly a pleasant story which was worth reading, hopefully one day we can all read an official autobiography of Abdul mukthadir.

I very moving story, similar to the experience I had when I first came to the location.
Even that it was hard times those days but I still miss it very much, it was like living in a dream with nightmares around you constantly

i love these tales of the arrival of the south asians in london. i think you should record and podcast them, as per the windrush histories that are proliferating. i don't know if there are windrush oral histories but i do know the bbc is all over them.
