Lovely. Just a couple of weeks ago I bought a copy of Dan's book, 'Banners and Dragons: The Complete Guide to Creative Campaigning'. It's especially great if - like me - you have adolescent children who are just getting to understand something of the complexities and inequalities of the world and getting involved in things like Fairtrade Fortnight.

That colour blue uniform that John Scurr pupils are wearing seems to be the colour of choice of many primary schools these days - my own daughter went off wearing it this morning. It will have school associations for a whole generation of pupils and parents. And it is such a synthetic colour that it feels like a direct descendant of W.H. Perkins' aniline purple which has it's origins in Cable Street.

Good to see the name of John Scurr being remembered.

Best wishes,

Joan
