I have returned to it a second time after first reading it a week or so ago. Very haunting and somewhat sad, like all the posts about your family. The image of your uncle, too fat to get out of bed while his house was being burgled, has stuck with me, as will this image of the narrow house with all the languid ‘daughters’. Though I love reading about Spitalfields I find these glimpses into your past even more intriguing. Like Wendy above, I hope you write a memoir one day.

I do wonder if they will ever be interested in thinking about me as a person independent of them, and whether one of them might ever write something as beautifully perceptive as you have here.
