I have a copy of P. D. James’s book and as you say, it’s breathtaking. Her commentary on the London culture of the time and the evolution of modern policing is fascinating and I unreservedly add my recommendation to yours. I bought my copy after going on a similar walking tour last year – I took photos but there are “spoilers” in a couple of the descriptions. I highly recommend going on a walking tour as a way of learning about the history of the area; I had never heard of the events until then. I wish I could attend on the 28th – I hope the weather is kind for you all!
