Thank you for this moving piece.

Is there any chance Mr. Bommer would turn his print into a book? Many cat lovers would buy it, I'm sure.

I very much enjoyed your story. I worked in St Lukes Printing works 1949-1956. I remember our garden at the back. which we used on our breaks We had heard that some of the imates from St Lukes Hospital were buried there. I visited the garden recently. When attending Moorfields Hospital. Just for Old Times Sake. Pleased that there is still a garden amid the flats.

It's 2013 going on 2014 - Dec 2013 to be exact. This is the 2nd time somehow I just clicked on a link looking for info and was directed here to Spitalfields. This one in particular was about the poem on Jeoffry. In the past I had a linked book marked to old photos of Spitalfields but had to return my computer to factory settings and lost the link a few months ago.

I glad to be back !!!!

I've 3 rescues and believe me they are incomprable ! (sp?) MiMi, Benjamin and Tracey Marie.

There's a lovely story about Samuel Johnson visiting Christopher Smart in the asylum. Someone made a comment to Johnson about Smart's tendency to invite everyone to pray with him, and Johnson said something like, "I'd as lief pray with Kit Smart as anyone else."
