What fabulous artwork. My Nan used to tell me stories of growing up in Poplar. Her father-in-law, but they weren’t married used to run the Chinese restaurant, gambling, laundrette. Her mother-in-law and her two boys were brought up in such an exciting place, although very hard. Love the vibrancy. Used to live in Bow in the 70s. The skin gears used to frighten me as I looked like a hippy, still do but old now. Lol
