I too am trying to research my family tree. My grandmother was Marianna Ongeri. She married Leno Besagni (circa 1930) and became Marianna Besagni. She came from Terruzzi/ Piacenza/ Milan and I think her father was Giovanni. Not 100% sure of that. Her Children are Nino, Dominic, Mary and Julianna. I am the youngest daughted of Julianna.

I have absolutely no connections with my Italian roots and would love to know some more about my Italian decent. If anybody has any information I would love to hear it.

Great story Bruno! Our family has the same nose – can’t mistake the Besagni nose! I seriously think we are related in some way as you look very like my uncles!

I still visit Terruzi each year, we still have some distant relatives there, the main families of that area were in fact Besagni, Obertelli, and Ongeri.
We appear to be related in some way, Olive Besagni’s book ” A BETTER LIFE” tells many stories of the journeys immigrant families made to London and to the Italian Quarter, I will relate all you enquiries to my brother Bruno, dispite his age he is still a mind of information, about the Besagni family and their history, the last link to our past.
