Dear Pat
I am in the fortunate position of owning a large print of this image, taking pride of place on our dining room wall. Colin personally supervised the hanging. From what I recall, he told me the photo was taken in Bolton. He did not know the children and initially photographed them from the front as they walked past him (and his girlfriend, as I recall him saying) - and them kept snapping as they moved away.
I was very sad to find out last week that Colin had suddenly passed away in August 2016.
