My husband Jimmy went into pellichis cafe every morning before work, he was that early that the cafe wasnt even open, but being the family that they are, they welcomed him, and they became great friends, exchanging christmas cards and prezzys each year, receiving gift when they visited their native country Italy each year, i have never ever come across such friendliness and kindness, often i would visit the cafe with my husband when visiting the are with our children, we were always welcomed with open arms and thier hospitality flowed, and it didnt matter how buisy they were, what I am trying to say is that this family was more than a cafe to alot of people in bethnal Green they were their family and I for one of them wished that they were really mine, i mean my true family, honestly I do, so god bless Nevio, we wish you was still her my friend and long live Maria and her force xx

Had a meal with my two sons this Saturday. Went to Pellicci's because my Mum went there when she was a child and lived in Weaver house Bethnal Green. My Mum (maiden name Haslett)is now 97. My Mum's grandma (Evans)sold fruit and vegetables in Bethnal Green very close to Pellicci's.
Had a lovely time and met both Salvatore and Maria.
Kind Regards,
Jon Jarvis from Cambridge

So I'm sitting in Pellecci's one morning and the door crashes open and a man storms in and stabs a finger at the guy behind the counter.
"Nevio Pellicci you destroyed my family!" he thunders.

There is a shocked silence in the cafe.

Then Nevio and the guy both piss themselves laughing.
