Hello Grace,
I was wondering how you have been doing all these years since you left Hong Kong. I remember seeing you once when you returned aeons ago but never again. I presume you never returned as you must have had a busy life in London. From your internet blog you look quite well and seem to have plenty to do. I expect by now you might be in your 80's or even early 90's.
I retired from St. Paul's in 2009 and live in Pok Fu Lam Gardens. I haven't been to many events this year at St. Paul's and I don't see the old teachers that often and only rearely see Kwok Chun. I am a member of the Helena May and play a full part in the community there, doing school and public tours of the building, and am also a member of the book club. I hope you are well and have kept safe during the Covid-19 crisis. This month concerts will begin again and I have five tickets for concerts, all of Beetthoven's music. Is Janet Heady still around? If she is, I expect you may still be in contact with her.

                                                                   Best wishes,
                                                                                            Bryn Williamson

What an interesting article, Sarah, on Grace!
I always felt it a privilege to sing with her and have a little chat, whenever we meet; she is beautiful, energetic,knowledgable-a polymath- and very modest. Grace and Douglas are a wonderful pair, so full of life and interests, with an undiminished sense of wonder and wanderlust.
Grace, have you considered writing your memoirs?
Thank you Sarah for giving us a lovely insight of Grace's life story.

Here you go Jeannette, try this recipe.
You need 4 level tablespoons of Golden Syrup melted with 4 oz margarine in a saucepan. To this you add 3 oz granulated sugar and 8 oz porridge oats, put into a greased square tin and cook for around 30 minutes on Gas 3. I have managed to over cook these sometimes and they go too hard and crunchy. I have also found (through experience) that you must cut them up while still warm otherwise they harden too quickly and it is then difficult to cut them into shapes. I've just had two with a cup of tea.... Yum...

What a lovely story about a lovely woman. I love articles like this that interview people who've touched history and can tell us about old times. My father is Grace's age and I love to listen to his stories about the early/mid 1900's, so this story shared by Grace was something I enjoyed a lot. I would like to see more blog entries like this.
