Terry has to teach us how we can play without a voice but only with our body and soul and be intensive amd expressive amd powerful just by using our body language this is very important because acting without talking is more difficult

I had the pleasure and the honour of participating in the 3 Cardboard Citizen laboratories for 9 months in total each of 3 months in my last one I met Terry in one of her lessons I did a theatre exercise in front of her and after when I finished I received one of one best compliment in one of my improvisations without acting with my voice but just only with my body expression. It was great because usually, I act with my voice with tone and I modulate with different timbre and characters but never I acted just with the body language I think Terry had a great thing to teach us how we can not play with only our body and our inside we can say many things without talk

I knew Terry back in the day…she was a prancer and dancer and chancer – with wit and compassion. A bon viveur and always great craic. Her vodka trifles were legendary. Fare thee well mate – you are always in my minds eye as I remember the laughter and love you bestowed with equal measure all about you.

I trained for a day with Terry in Manchester and it was a transformative experience lead by Terry, Adrian and the team who turned up so positive and empowered, mob-handed to make a difference.

A lot of learning took place that day.

Personally; I laboured trying to get to grips with Oppression; how we act sometimes without realising to oppress – it was difficult for me – it was done in a gentle and playful manner, but I wasn’t allowed to get away with it – with not seeing it. The impact is lasting.

I’m sure many people were transformed through Terry’s skilful work.
I will still stop now and think about oppression using the frames and skills we learnt that day.
It is a difficult and never ending task.

As Nikki above I’d like to use this opportunity to leave a comment. With tears in my eyes I remember Terry as a Joker AND cast member in “Led easy” performed at the WorldForumTheatreFestival in 2009 in Innsbruck (Austria, no kanguroos). This was a few months after Augusto passed away. She was brilliant. I loved her enery, her sense of humor, her presence and always wanted to meet her again. Sadly not in this life. Farewell. Armin

Having just come across this article today, I am horrified and dismayed to read that a woman in our Country in 1987, could be thrown out of a Council house to live on the streets. This lady was living with her blood brother which is about the closest one can get to another human being and yet to that Council it accounted for nothing. Can anyone tell me, is this absurd inhuman Council Housing Rule still in effect today? I am delighted for Terry how well she has done for herself, she works hard not just for herself, but for the wellbeing of others. What A Good Lady.
