Hi Thames Mudlarks…I too,really found my link within the recent Smithsonian article about the hobby,Steve also and the wonderful ‘black stuff’. Amazing finds and richness of wonder about just what of old still waits there to be rescued. As a past resident of Cubitt Town,Millwall,my memory was jogged fondly by the photos contained in your website,especially of the ones showing familiar water edges where as schoolkids,we often sneaked off to go swimming “oliky-b******” in the murky waters,just a gold- watch spit~from West Ferry Rd. Keep up the good,enjoyable,work~and if I can make it back there for a lengthy visit,I’d love to meet up with you guys. Become a member also. John

Fascinated by the Smithsonian article on Mudlarks. Love the Thames, love London, and am avid for any tidbits of history.

Once more the gentle author puts “MOOD, FEEL, LOVE AND LIFE” into what we do on the thames………i love his words !!!

As for the picture of euan and his fossilised tree bark, i think that will go straight onto his mums mantel-piece…………….and rae’s picture, straight onto the CRIME WATCH gallery of rogues !!!
