To quote a famous example, Grayson Perry is a transvestite but not a transexual. But no doubt Russella will explain!

There is a transexual in the block in which I live, a lovely lady by the name of Chelsea who is a cabaret artist, taking off Grace Jones on stage. She gets extremely and rightly upset if anyone confuses her sexuality and refers to her as him or in any way questions her femininity.

I think you don’t really understand what being a trannie or transexual is about. It is not a game, dressing-up, pretending. It is what the person is. They don’t ‘aspire’ to be taken for women – as in women in general – they are female and most, because again I don’t want to generalise, want to be seen as individual who happens to be female.
