I wonder if he keeps photographs of all his projects, and also of lots of actual wood, and furniture, etc., to aid him in his work. Or, perhaps by now the particular characteristics of many wood grains are so embedded in his memory that he can just freely create as he undertakes these projects.
Whatever his methods, the results are marvelous.
