I could just about feel the tension as the birds came in. I’ve just become interested in homing pigeons and I’m finding out just how competitive the racing is. One of the things I’m looking into is keeping a loft of white homers for release at weddings, funerals, etc. I know it’s been done all over the place, but haven’t seen it much around here. I came across an e-book on pigeon racing success which sounds interesting. I just bought it myself. In case anyone else is interested, the website is:

I had no idea about their role until I visited there a couple of years back at the behest of one of my children who is into maths and code breaking. It’s well worth the trip out to Milton Keynes since the estate is incredibly atmospheric and staffed by volunteers who worked on the original machines.
