Hi i had the wonderful experience of visiting your shop today with my daughter. I am very interested in the history of the building as well as the excellent treatment you provide. The atmosphere and the way you have kept the premises in keeping with the history is well worth the visit, it is refreshing to see that someone wants to keep some of old london.

What a lovely tribute to your parents' endeavours. I'm so pleased that you've decided to renovate the house in Puma Court; it's such a beautiful building which I love coming to. See you soon.

I just spent two hours reading here, and you're my new favourite author. It's so nice and refreshing to find a London history blog with stories about ordinary working people, and not just the rich, the famous and the notorious. Niki's wedding photos look exactly like some of my own family snaps; my aunt got married in the same church at about the same time, with a practically identical hair-do and a Greek best man who looked very like Kyriacos. I have a lot of elderly family members who love London history, but find many of the big-name historians just aren't their cup of tea. They're going to love this blog. Thanks, gentle author!

Please do pass on to Niki how much I enjoyed reading your tribute to her talent, creative spirit and endurance.

If I lived in London, I would want to go visit her on my next day day off. We'd talk about design, fabrics, sewing, and how lives evolve.

Your posts continue to be so rich in their variety.
