I was born in the London Hospital in 1958 and for the first seven years of my life lived at 242 Brunswick Buildings. My mum and dad moved in to the flat in 1954 when they got married.
In 1965 we moved to a prefab in Stepney Way and in 1973 moved to Arbour Square.
Attended Harry Gosling primary school and then CFS.
My family knew Mike Myers very well.
So many characters in the Lane however I suppose I was too young to appreciate it all.Still continued to go down the Lane until 1971 as my grandparents lived in Wentworth Buildings.
I am a regular visitor on the various facebook groups for Harry Gosling,Memories of Petticoat Lane and Brady Club where I was a member from 1969-74.
Nothing like a bit of nostalgia!

I was researching the Brunswick Buildings after I found out my great grand parents Solomon and Nancy Romain lived there in 1902 when they were married (they were first cousins). The buildings would have been quite new back then and I guess fairly palatial compared to most homes. Solomon is listed as a Fancy Coachouseman. I am not sure what it means, but I guess he may have been a posh cabbie or running a posh cabbie firm.
This article brings it too life. Thank you.
