I sometimes keep choice cards, but not in my christmas box. I might start storing them there, as repetition is ritual and that’s what makes Christmas. Although I despair of my hoarding. Perhaps I should ask …then again probably not! I do, however, keep all of hers, Christmas, Birthday and lately she’s started sending random ones thanking me for being her Mum. Maybe she’s now conscious of the passing of time.

Handwritten Christmas cards, even if just signed with a tiny message, are like shaking hands, hugs and kisses… Not many arrived last X-mas.
