    Fascinating and often immensely moving stories. I loved the fact that the descendants of people who had immensely hard lives were still there decades later and doing a little better. Testament to the grit and endurance of the “ordinary” people who get overlooked by history but actually are the ones who make it.

    Dan Jones is just extraordinarily talented. The live captions leading to interesting vignettes — really nice. A VERY long post, could have been three or even four separate posts.
