‘Fun upon fun, or the first and second part of Mrs Kitty Fisher…’- Paul Sandby-1760- Plate 12 from the Twelve Cries of London. ‘Fun upon fun, or the first and second part of Mrs Kitty Fisher, Merry thought. No joke like a true joke. Come who’l fish in my fishpond?’ In the foreground a bearded man in ragged clothes waves a ‘toy’ rod, complete with fish, over a sheet of paper on which the Kitty Fisher verse is written (possibly a seller of ballads). In the mid distance a woman, with children at her feet, appears to be calling out whilst carrying rolls of paper under her arm and an unfurled sheet in her hand. The scene is set in a street with buildings etc in the background
