Hello Rosemary. I have only recently come across this website for our old school in Spital Square, and was delighted to recognize some familiar faces after all these years. I was a pupil between 1956 and 1963 (am extra year in the 6th form to redo an ‘A’ level). I remember faces better than names, and remember you and the two girls to your right, I believe fellow Jewish pupils. In those days there were only a handful of Jewish girls in each year, and I remember Miss Glynn who took our Religious Education lessons, and the morning assembly for the Jewish girls in the dining room.
I have just set up a facebook account, and hope to upl0ad the few photos I still have. One of these shows a group of pupils from my primary school in Dean Street about to set off for on a school outing; I am sure that one of the girls is the curly haired girl in your photo. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but I wonder if she went to the same Primary school, not far from the Brady girls’ club? Thank you for your contribution to this web site. Dinah

I was also at Central Foundation from 1956 – 1963. I recognize Rosemary but didn’t recognize her name. The 2nd girl on the right in the photo is Marsha Errington, who became head girl and was in my class. The girl between Marsha and Rosemary looks rather like me. My brother thinks it is me. I didn’t have such thick hgair but I used to backcombe it so I am not sure. I am not jewish though. Perhaps someone can say who this is, if not me. I have only just become a member but am not at home at present and do not have a current photo with me, so facebook has, I think, thrown me out. I shall be retzurning home after the bog heat ceases.
